RAWALPINDI – Director Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Iftikhar Bhalli on Tuesday has taken notice of inordinate delay in dispatching of registration cards and number plates by his office causing troubles for owners of vehicles and motorcycles.
He ordered his subordinates to identity the causes of delay in dispatching the computerized registration plates of cars, other vehicles and motorcycles and submit a detailed report with him.
He issued these directions while holding a meeting with his staff. Besides others, ETO Excise and Taxation Zone II Gul Sher also attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Director Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Iftikhar Bhatti said it has come into his notice that the owners of vehicles and motorcycles had applied for computerized number plates and smart cards since long and experiencing delay in obtaining the commodities by courier. “All the officers should also review their performance and errors. Either courier services are making delay in dispatching the numbers plates and smart cards or some other reason is behind the delay,” he said.
He warned all the officers to work with commitment and dedication or else strict action would be taken against them.
