Punjab govt presented balanced and welfare-oriented  budget: Yawar Abbas

Attock   –  Those sitting in treasury benches have praised the recent budget presented by Punjab government and termed it a welfare and development oriented budget while those in opposition including public have termed this budget a jugglery of words. Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait ul Maal Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari has said that Punjab government presented a balanced and welfare oriented budget in which record funds have been allocated for education and health sector. He said for the first time, budget for Social Welfare Department has been increased by 300 per cent which is a step towards Riasat-e-Medina. He said Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar wanted the development of social sector and present budget is its ample proof. Provincial Minister for Revenue Malik Muhammad Anwar has said termed the budget balanced and tax free budget and said that Rs 560 billion have been allocated for development sector. He said stamp duty has not been increased thus given a subsidy worth Rs40 billion to people and said that relief has been given to layman. Focal Person PTI Qazi Ahmad Akbar said that this budget is people friendly and said that record development will take place. Record development will take place while salaries and pensions have also been increased. On the other hand, people from different walks of life have termed the budget nothing else but a jugglery of words.
