Pemra chairman visits Discover Pakistan Channel
LAHORE – Chairman PEMRA Muhammad Saleem Baig has visited Discover Pakistan Channel with his team.
CEO Dr Kaiser Rafiq warmly welcomed him and introduced him with the entire team of Discover Pakistan Channel. The PEMRA chairman reviewed all the departments of Discover Pakistan and asked technical questions related to the creative and technical departments. CEO Discover Pakistan, Director Programs – Ali Raza and Director Creative – Haris Iqbal provided in-depth answers. The PEMRA chairman appreciated the performance of Discover Pakistan Channel and also discussed PEMRA policies with CEO Discover Pakistan.
At the end of his visit, PEMRA Chairman Muhammad Saleem Baig, in an exclusive interview with the team of Discover Pakistan, said that he has seen the programs of Discover Pakistan which are very unique displaying all the aspects of Pakistan. From the tourism perspective, the aesthetic Northern Areas to the historical background of places, everything is beautifully highlighted and it will definitely generate keen interest among the people. PEMRA chairman was thoroughly impressed with the vision of Dr. Kaiser Rafiq. He said that, “If such TV channels had come 30 years ago, Pakistan would have been at a different place today.”
He also said that this is the age of media and media has to market the country in a positive way. “I congratulate Dr. Kaiser Rafiq for his efforts and I hope, in future he will definitely do more initiatives like this to carry forward the vision of positive Pakistan.” He further said that the purpose of such official visits is to extend help to new TV channels and discuss ever improving PEMRA policies.
