The PPP government made a mistake by not amending the ‘black’ NAB law, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Wednesday.
“NAB has been constituted for political engineering, mainly to steal our mandate,” he said, speaking to the media and party workers after appearing before NAB at its office in Islamabad.
“We will rid the Constitution of the law amendment introduced by a dictator,” he said.
Devoted workers of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto are still standing with the PPP, Bilawal said.

He demanded the government oust three ministers who supported banned outfits from the federal cabinet. The PPP will continue opposing and protesting against proscribed organizations, he said.
We get ‘notices’ when we speak against banned outfits but we don’t fear them as we are the devotees of Benazir Bhutto, the PPP chairperson asserted. “We will continue challenging the puppet rule in the country,” he said.
We have faced every dictatorship in the country and will stand up to this ‘puppet government’ as well, he said. “I am raising my voice against the political crisis in the country,” he said.
Later, the PPP’s senior leadership gathered at Zardari House where Bilawal and his father former president Asif Ali Zardari consulted them about the case.

Bilawal is also scheduled to address a press conference at Zardari House at 4pm.
Earlier in the day, Bilawal and his father recorded their statements at the NAB office in Islamabad in two cases against them. They were interrogated for one and half hours.
“I don’t know,” was Bilawal’s answer to every query regarding the fake accounts case. “I was merely one years old when the Park Lane company was set up,” he said.
NAB officials then handed him a questionnaire to submit a written answer within a week as Bilawal informed them that he is more comfortable giving the answers in writing.
