Quentin Tarantino’s highly-anticipated ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’ will premiere at Cannes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Though the official word hasn’t gone out yet, it is rumoured to debut on May 21 at the festival, 25 years to the day since the former video store clerk’s Pulp Fiction played the Croisette.

However, the premiere at the Cannes will depend on whether or not the director finishes editing the new project in time. Despite reports saying “Hollywood” is already in at Cannes, sources close to the movie confirmed to IndieWire no decision has been made at this time.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set in the midst of 1960s Los Angeles, with DiCaprio set to play the role of TV actor Rick Dalton, with Pitt portraying his stunt double Cliff Booth.

Dalton and Booth are fictional characters but their neighbour is real life figure Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the members of convicted murderer Charles Manson’s so-called ‘family’ in 1969.

Tate will be portrayed by Oscar nominee Margot Robbie, while Damon Herriman has been cast as Manson.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will release on July 26.
