The Islamabad High Court ordered the FIA to bring a man who took his three-year-old child to Dubai under false pretenses back to Pakistan.
During a hearing on Saturday in a custody case filed by the child’s mother Hania Usman, Justice Gul Hassan told the FIA to take steps to bring the man, Usman, back to the country.
The FIA informed the court that they had blocked his passport and ID card so he can’t travel anywhere else. The court also directed the Foreign Office to seek the Pakistani Embassy in Dubai’s assistance in the case.
The FIA has been told to present an implementation report by the next hearing of the case.
Usman is accused of taking his child to Dubai in February 2018 under false pretenses and settling there. The child’s mother has petitioned the court for custody of her child.
