ECP approves for hearing petition to ban MQM-Pakistan
The Election Commission of Pakistan has approved for hearing a request to ban MQM-Pakistan.
A three-member bench, headed by the chief election commissioner, heard the petition on Monday.
MQM-Pakistan Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar, Kunwar Naveed and Arshad Vohra have been issued notices in the case.
The ECP has set the next hearing on May 2.
