China accuses EU of ‘protectionism’ over new steel taxes
BEIJING: Beijing has indicted a European Union of “protectionist” poise after Brussels imposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese steel products, as it seeks to strengthen struggling steel makers in Europe.
The EU Commission pronounced Friday it would levy taxes of between 30.7% and 64.9% on certain Chinese steel products, that it says are being sole during a detriment in Europe.
The measure, that also relates to Taiwan, is partial of an EU pull opposite China – that creates some-more than half a world’s steel – for allegedly flooding tellurian markets in defilement of general trade agreements.
