MUZAFFARABAD: Heavy rain, land shifting and layer in a top areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Saturday blocked a categorical arteries heading to Leepa and Neelum Valleys.
The 200 kilometres-long Neelum Valley highway was blocked from Sharda to Taubutt overdue to complicated snowfall. The Bagh –Chikar highway was also sealed due to sleet nearby Sudhan Gali.
The snow-covered Leepa Valley was also cut off from all kinds of vehicular trade from Rashian for a past 20 days where around 4 feet of sleet fell.
Raja Mauzam, a orator for a state Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), pronounced that a Haveli highway joining Bagh and Rawalpindi was also blocked overdue to complicated layer nearby Mahmood Gali and Badara.
“We are advising a people to equivocate transport during a night on both a Kohala and Jehlum Valley roads where boulders and descending stones can be dangerous for people and vehicles,” Mauzam said.
Owing to a blockage of roads essential line have started to run out in Neelum and Leepa valleys.
“We are confronting a necessity of duck , uninformed unfeeling and eggs for a final one week. The supervision should send [snow plouhg] machines to Rashian and Neelum to purify a sleet from a road,” pronounced Ishaq, a proprietor of Sharda said.
Another proprietor of Leepa hollow pronounced that they can't transport from Rashian to Leepa in their vehicles though it was a avocation of a supervision to muster a sleet clearing machines during Rashian to forge a trail for a people to make it on foot.
Meanwhile, Met bureau pronounced that sleet is approaching in lowers areas of AJK while a hills will accept sleet over a subsequent dual to 3 days.
