Several injured as LPG container catches fire in Lahore
Ten people were injured and significant property damage took place after an LPG container caught fire in Lahore’s Shahdara Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred near the Shahdara Morr.
The container caught fire after it overturned according to officials. It then engulfed a petrol pump, with a total of 113 rickshaws, 10 cars and 86 motorcycles destroyed in the blaze.
Rickshaw drivers have asked the government for help, with one stating that the they were already suffering due to the lockdown.
The police, however, have said that the rickshaws had been seized because their drivers were caught violating the imposed Section 144.
One of the people injured was a traffic warden. Everyone injured has been taken to Mayo Hospital.
