Islamabad: The sun has begun shinning brightly in the daytime these days prompting the people not to use woollies during the day. However, if you think the winter season is over, you’re mistaken at least for now as the rain and cloudiness is the forecast of the Met Office for the next few days.

“During the next 48 hours or so, rain coupled with thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Islamabad, Malakand and Hazara divisions, Fata, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Also, light rain along with thunderstorm is likely to fall at isolated places in Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan during the period,” weatherman Muhammad Farooq said on Tuesday.

The Met Office official said dry weather would occur elsewhere in the country. He said the weather conditions in question was caused by a westerly wave currently affecting upper and central parts of the country and they were likely to persist in upper parts of the country until Friday (morning).
