ECP disqualifies Rawalpindi mayor Sardar Naseem

A five-member elect headed by Chief Election Commissioner, late probity Sardar Raza, announced a preference taken on a basement of dual apart petitions opposite Naseem.

In their petitions, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Lubna Iqbal and PML-N’ sTahira Perveen purported that Naseem had used his change to supply LB polls for indifferent seats before to being inaugurated city mayor.

The petitioners confirmed that Naseem had, during polls on Nov 15, 2016, entered a polling hire and used his change to lean a polling routine in foster of a sold candidate.

The petitioners also constructed visible justification in support of their claims.

The accused, by his lawyer, confessed to entering a polling hire on that date, though confirmed that he left shortly after a presiding officer objected to his presence. Naseem definitely denied any wrongdoing.

The elect in a brief sequence supposed a petitioners’ arguments and deseated Naseem from his post as Rawalpindi mayor.
