1 person killed, another  injured in road accident

Rawalpindi-A person was killed while another sustained injuries in a road traffic accident at Jatli Bus Terminal on Mandra Road, informed Rescue 1122 spokesman informed on Thursday.

Similarly, dead body of a 45-year-old man was found in a car parked near Civic Centre at Phase 3 of Bahria Town, he added.

The bodies and injured were moved to hospitals, he added.

According to him, a man namely Muhammad Afzal (60) along with his son Ebad (19) were travelling on a motorcycle on Mandra Chakwal Road when they collided with a truck that was overturned along with road. Resultantly, Afzal died on the spot and Ebad got injured critically. Rescue 1122 moved the body and victim to Rural Health Centre (RHC) Doltala, he informed. On the other hand, body of Navid Ahmed (45) was found in a car parked near Civic Centre in Phase 3 of Bahria Town. Rescue 1122 moved the body to PIMS for post-mortem. Local police also reached the spot and started investigation. 

The cause of death was yet to be known by the police investigators, he said.
