With 652 active Covid-19 cases, Lohi Bher becomes most affected area of capital

ISLAMABAD-With 652 active Covid-19 cases, Lohi Bher has emerged as the most affected area of the federal capital, according to the official sources.

As of Tuesday, Lohi Bher reported 652 active Covid-19 cases and 45 deaths, making it the most hit area of the capital city in terms of active cases and Covid-related deaths. Tarlai has so far reported 311 cases and 17 deaths, Bhara Kahu 309 cases and 31 deaths, sector G-10 283 cases and 22 deaths, I-8 268 cases and 33 deaths, G-9 257 cases and 35 deaths, G-11 239 cases and 20 deaths, F-11 235 cases and seven deaths, G-7 225 cases and 26 deaths, Rawat 224 cases and 14 deaths, I-10 220 cases and 26 deaths, E-11 219 cases and 14 deaths, G-6 204 cases and 18 deaths, G-13 172 cases, G-8 169 cases and 22 deaths, Khanna Pul 167 cases and 10 deaths, F-10 161 cases and 11 deaths, and Chak Shahzad 146 cases and three deaths. As per official data, Lohi Bher has so far recorded 5,180 total Covid-19 cases, Tarlai 2037 cases, Bhara Kahu 2396 cases, G-10 2240 cases, I-8 2770 cases, G-9 2343 cases, G-11 1871 cases, F-11 1511 cases, G-7 1914 cases, Rawat 1754 cases and sector I-10 recorded 1905 positive cases so far.

Meanwhile, ICT Administration has announced that intercity public transport shall operate at 50 percent of the capacity. Besides this, all commercial activities, establishments and areas shall be closed by 10pm on weekends and shall remain completely closed on weekends (safe days) i.e. Friday and Saturday. Furthermore, AC (Industrial Area) visited several shops, malls, restaurants and office in I-8 and I-9 Markaz. Fines were imposed and strict warnings were issued for contravention of the Covid SOPs, polythene bags, price control and indoor dining, according to the officials.
