Centre has pushed provinces into economic crisis: PPP

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan People’s Par­ty yesterday alleged that the federal gov­ernment had pushed the provinces into a crisis. PPP Parliamen­tarians Central Infor­mation Secretary Sha­zia Atta Marri said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had handed over the country to the In­ternational Monetary Fund. Marri added that the government had also plunged fed­eration and the prov­inces into unending financial crisis. 

She said that fed­eral government had deprived provinces of their due share of Na­tional Finance Com­mission which was un­constitutional act. 

She maintained that federal government had made it a norm to cut Sindh province’s funds under the Na­tional Finance Com­mission award. 

“In this regard, the federal government is doing injustice with the provinces. 

The price of electric­ity has been increased before the start of summer season and government is being run by squeezing the blood of the people,” she contended.
