Bilawal and CM to inaugurate 100MW power plant at Nooriabad

KARACHI: The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will jointly inaugurate 100MW power plant at Nooriabad to facilitate Karachiites on Wednesday.

Talking to Media, The Sindh Minister for Information, Labour and Mass Transit Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that 100MW power plant at Nooriabad would be inaugurated by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to relieve the pain of Karachiites who have been facing Hours long unannounced power outages.

He also criticized K-Electric for power breakdowns and urged the federal government to look into the matter of load shedding and give relief to the people of Sindh.

It is worth mentioning here that protests erupted on Tuesday in Karachi and other cities after a major power breakdown hit nearly 50 per cent of Sindh.

Angry Karachiites took to the streets and blocked roads in several areas as they faced difficulties due to persistent power failure in the holy month of Ramazan. 12th breakdown in a month has exposed all the tall claims of power utility.
