JIT in its report further informed that a political group was under threat from the activities of the victim. “The student used to speak against the irregularities in the university openly,” the report mentioned.
It also stated that every suspect in the case was ineligible and was employed on recommendation.
Furthermore, “no evidences regarding blasphemy were found in the investigation,” the report stated. “A group incited the mob against the student on the pretext of blasphemy,” it added.
