Man shot dead

Rawalpind-Unknown assailants shot dead a 30 year old man in a flat located at Bahria Heights in the limits of Police Station (PS) Airport, informed sources on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as cousin of a local leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Nawaz Chaudhry Mubashir Fayyaz, the resident of Hayyal Village and cousin of PML-N local leaders Chaudhry Asad Numberdar and Chaudhry Ikhlaq Numberdar.

Officials of PS Airport have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under section 302 of PPC against unknown killers and started investigation, they said.

SDPO Civil Lines Circle Syed Ijaz Hussain Shah, when contacted, confirmed that bullet riddled body of a 30 year old man was found from a flat located in Bahria Heights 1 and was moved to DHQ for postmortem. He said police have been making efforts to arrest the unknown killer after filing a case.
