Five years after demise, ghazal aristocrat Mehdi Hassan lives on in the hearts

Hassan was innate on Jul 18, 1927, in Rajasthan, India, to a family of musicians. To keep adult a family tradition, he began training underneath his father Ustad Azeem Khan and uncle Ustad Ismail Khan with a concentration on Thumari. After Partition, Hassan and his family migrated to Chichawatni in Pakistan. The afterwards determined thespian done his entrance in 1957 on Radio Pakistan.
