NIAMEY: Around 100 Libya-bound migrants, including women, have been detected from a Sahara dried in Niger after being deserted by their smugglers, a confidence source told AFP.
The migrants are believed to have been anticipating to transport on to Europe and were detected by a troops unit several days ago, a source pronounced on Tuesday.
“The migrants were subjected to terrible woe by their smugglers, before being deserted though food or water,” reported a online journal Air Info, formed in a remote city of Agadez, citing a confidence source.
