Islamabad :Monsoon is the season which brings relief for people as it makes the environment cool after the hot and scorching heat during summer, but on the other hand, many diseases spread out in this season.
Even after having the cool splash of monsoon rain, there are some negative effects on human health, everyone should take precautionary measures to protect him in this situation.
There are certain health risks that brought by monsoon from which people needs to be really careful. Talking to this agency, a health expert, Dr Faiza Hameed said,” After the rainfall, water lying place causes the mosquitoes and microbial growth.
These places will promote the risk of mosquito conveyed infections, such as malaria and dengue high temperature with fever.
Viral infections are also spread easily during the monsoon season. “In monsoon season, normally people could suffer from allergies, several types of infections and indigestion,” she added.
Another Health Expert Dr Arif Majeed said, “People need to take precautionary practices during monsoon by cleansing their surroundings, eating fresh food and protect themselves from mosquito.”
Mosquito water or food, fungus and viruses caused most common monsoon session’s diseases, he added. He said: “Remove stagnation of water near your surroundings and insist that your local municipal authorities regularly spray insecticides in the neighbourhood.”
Wear full-sleeved clothes when leaving the house during early morning or evening hours. Use a powerful insect repellent to hold mosquitoes away and prevent getting bitten. Apply anti-mosquito lotions, sprays and wrist-bands which were abundantly available in the market, he added. — APP
