PESHAWAR: Four-and-a-half years since it formed its own government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI has failed to fulfill its promises of change and prosperity.
PTI rose to prominence in the 2013 general elections as it formed its own government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Though PTI chief Imran Khan failed in his object to prevent Nawaz Sharif from becoming the prime minister for a third term and assume the mantle for himself, his party secured the most seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Imran Khan-led PTI promised to be the harbinger of change that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were waiting for. However, those promises are yet to be fulfilled as the party has failed to complete most of its development projects. The Bab-e-Peshawar flyover remains the only major project that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was able to complete successfully.
The party promised to bring about major reforms in the sectors of health and education, which so far it has failed to do so.
However, the PTI leadership on the other hand claims otherwise. The party declares its railway system that runs between five districts in the province and the mass transit bus system as major development projects that it has successfully completed.
