Mawra Hocane just signed Hum TV’s latest pre-partition period drama

Here’s what we know about Mawra’s new project: Titled Aangan (or Courtyard), the drama is being helmed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin (of Udaari fame) and written by Mustafa Afridi. The drama will be produced by Momina Duraid. Mawra’s one of the first actors to be cast in this mega project and sources say the cast will feature a few more A-list actors.

According to sources close to the actor, Mawra’s been longing to do a different TV serial and has finally chosen one such project. Since it’s set in an older era, there’s a lot of prep involved.

Ehteshamuddin’s work is always on our radar — before the runaway hit Udaari, he’s brought us popular series like Sadqay Tumhare and Aseerzadi. And after Mawra’s poignant performance in Sammi, we can’t wait to see what this killer combo brings to our screens!
