LAHORE: The Independent Group led by Asma Jahangir clinched on Tuesday tip slots in the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) annual elections.

The organisation managed to secure a seats of the president as good as secretary of a association.

The group’s claimant Pir Kaleem Khursheed bagged 1,145 votes, defeating Hafiz Abdur Rehman of Hamid Khan’s Professional Group who could secure usually 1,062 votes.

Similarly, Safdar Hussain Tarar of a group achieved 1,098 votes opposite 638 votes of Professional Group’s Mian Muhammad Aslam.
