SHO martyred during police raid in Charsadda

According to details, the police had raided a smuggler’s den to recover illegal arms and ammunitions in Charsadda’s Majoki area when the culprits opened fire at the police.

As a result, the SHO Ayub Khan was martyred while two other police personnel were injured. A smuggler was also injured in the retaliatory fire by the police, DSP Iftikhar Shah said.

One of the injured policemen was shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.

Police also started a search operation in the area.
