PESHAWAR: The Peshawar trade military kicked off a 10-day debate on Monday to remove posters and paintings from rickshaws that glamorize drugs and guns.
Besides, they are also holding down “objectionable” photos of film actors from vehicles.
Rickshaws displaying a posters are being stopped during several thoroughfares. The military pronounced they were seeking a drivers to willingly mislay a posters or face action.
“The debate is directed at keeping a village protected from a effects of a gun and drug culture,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Yasir Afridi told The Express Tribune.
“The military are seeking drivers to reinstate such posters with those compelling nationalism or village awareness,” he added.

The residents have welcomed a campaign. “Posters of actors holding guns or other weapons or regulating drugs aren’t good for a society,” pronounced Sarmad Ali, who lives nearby Abdara Road.

“The enlightenment of guns and drugs should be discouraged,” he added.
Experts too upheld a initiative. Khyber Teaching Hospital’s (KTH) Dr Azaz Jamal, who works during the psychology unit, pronounced bearing to images of guns, drug use or trash caused assertive behaviour.
“It has a negative effect on people, generally children,” he added.
