ECP to distribute ballot papers in Karachi on Saturday

The Election Commission of Pakistan said that the process of printing of ballot papers for the July 25 general elections has been completed and the papers have been sent to returning officers all over the country except in Karachi, SAMAA TV reported on Saturday.

The election body said that the distribution of ballot papers in Karachi will be completed on Saturday.

Around 220 million ballot papers have been printed for the general elections.

These are the most expensive ballot papers to have ever been printed in Pakistan and each paper costs Rs10. That means the cost of printing 220 million papers is Rs2.2 billion.

The papers have been imported from Britain and France.
