Pakistan’s women cricket team captain Bismah Maroof is still recovering from sinus surgery in July. Thirty-year-old all-rounder Javeria Khan will lead the team in the regular skipper’s absence.
The Pakistan team will tour Bangladesh from October 1 to 8. The series comprises four T20s and one ODI. The Pakistan team will head to Australia after this for a home series where they will play three ODIs and three T20s from October 18 to 29. All matches will be played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The team management is hopeful that Maroof might be available for the Australia series subject to her full recovery.
Umaima Sohail, the 21-year-old all-rounder, is expected to make her international debut in both formats.
The women’s team will depart for West Indies from Malaysia to participate in the ICC Women’s World T20 at the conclusion of the tour.
