Bollywood film searches for Pakistani male lead in UK shoot

A UK casting agency, LB Casting, has just put out a call to audition men between the ages of 40 and 60 years, of Pakistani background, for a Bollywood film.

The casting agency’s advert appeared on the specialized website Backstage.com. The film’s title was not revealed but we do know that it will be shooting in West Yorkshire this month.

“The character is a wealthy businessman from a rich background and the role includes dialogue, so you’ll need to be able to speak fluent Hindi,” said the agency. Perhaps it should have mentioned Urdu if it wanted someone from a Pakistani background. Odd that they specified Pakistani. Perhaps Pakistani men look more “businessman-like”?
