Fog engulfs Karachi as winter approaches

Karachiites woke up to a pleasant surprise Wednesday morning as fog engulfed parts of the city.

It is fog and not smog, the Met department confirmed.

The temperature in the morning was recorded between 19°C to 22 °C. The mercury is expected to drop in the next 48 hours. The humidity in the air was recorded at 79%.

Fog blanketed different parts of the city, including II Chundrigar Road, Shahrae Faisal and University Road.

Moreover, the smog in parts of Punjab was dissipated after rainfall. Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Attock received rainfall.
