7 DSPs transferred, posted
ISLAMABAD – The capital police chief on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders of seven deputy superintendents of police, according to a police spokesman. Notifications in this regard have been issued by the office of Inspector General of Police, he added.
According to him, IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman has transferred DSP Special Branch Muhammad Ameer and posted him as DSP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Intelligence.
DSP Abid Hussain, who was awaiting posting, replaced Muhammad Ameer as DSP Special Branch, he added. He said the top cop also posted DSP Zahid as DSP Special Branch, whereas, Malik Muhammad Bashir has been assigned the task as DSP Investigation (Rural). The spokesman said DSP Muhammad Aslam has been deputed DSP/Gunman to Prime Minister of Pakistan. Likewise, services of two DSPs Ghulam Qasim and Ulfat Arif, who were awaiting postings, were placed at the disposal of Logistic Division, he mentioned.
He said all the newly appointed police officers have assumed their charges following orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman.
