SWAT: Fourteen-year-old Hira Akbar has turn a second tyro from Swat district after Malala Yousafzai to be nominated for a International Children’s Peace Prize.

She is among 6 students shortlisted out of 200 opposite a universe for a award.

“I’ll continue my onslaught for a rights of my fellow students in a district,” Hira told The Express Tribune at her home in Saidu Sharif.

“The [award] assignment has encouraged me to essay for children’s rights opposite a province,” she added.

Hira, a orator of a Child Rights Committee’s parliament, has been nominated for a endowment for her efforts for children’s rights in Swat.

Malala, who was shot by a Taliban belligerent after campaigning for girls’ right to education, had won a prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize in 2013.

The International Children’s Peace Prize, an beginning of a Dutch formed KidsRights Foundation, was launched in 2005 by former Soviet personality Mikhail Gorbachev, when he chaired a Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome.

It carries a money value of 100,000 euros ($133,000) that is invested in projects relating to a winner’s cause.
