Armeena Khan is heartbroken after fans ridicule beau for being dark-skinned
Pakistani actress Armeena Khan poured her heart out on Instagram in an open blog to her fans, urging them to stop discrimination on the basis of skin colour and targeting her fiance Fesl.
The Bin Roye star vented her anger on Internet-based photo sharing website Instagram in a lengthy post in which she slammed Pakistanis for passing derogatory remarks on her fiance’s dark skin tone.
“I am really sad today. In fact, I am sick to my stomach,” she wrote. “I have never EVER come across a white person ridiculing him for his skin.”
Armeena stated that when she disclosed who her fiance was, majority of the Pakistani public on social media ridiculed him for his dark skin tone. The actress stated that she was embarrassed that this was the treatment that came from her own country.
“I am so embarrassed to get this from my own people, though he has said nothing. Is this my Pakistan? Is open ridicule and contempt for people based on their skin the norm now? I feel jaded.”
A couple of days earlier, the Pakistani actress had called out Twitterati for criticising her on the dress that she wore to the IPPA 2017.

Kudos to Armeena for having the courage to stand up for her fiance and highlighting an important element of cyber bullying.
