Asian Games 2018: Pakistan run riot against Thailand in hockey fixture

A hat-trick by Muhammad Atiq helped Pakistan thrash Thailand 10-0 in their Asian Games 2018 Pool B hockey fixture on Monday.

Muhammad Toseeq Arshad put Pakistan ahead in the 15th minute. Muhammad Irfan doubled their lead in the 22nd minute.

Muhammad Atiq made it 3-0 in the 23rd minute while Irfan Mahnood netted the fourth goal in the 31st minute of the lopsided fixture.

The fifth goal for Pakistan came in the 33rd minute as Mubashar Ali scored via penalty corner.

Muhammad Atiq scored his second and Pakistan’s sixth goal in the 39th minute. Abu Bakar Mahmood made it 7-0 in the 42nd minute of the game.

Muhammad Atiq completed his hat-trick as he scored the eighth goal for Pakistan in the 43rd minute of the match.

Abu Bakar Mahmood and Muhammad Toseeq Arshad scored the ninth and 10th goal for the green shirts in the 49th minute.
