Islamabad
Meant to help businesses, especially small and medium ones, increase customer base and boost sales by massive advertising through its widely read and influential daily publications and digital platforms, the Jang Media Group organised an advertising exposition at a hotel here on Monday.
The Jang MediaWorks Expo, as the event was called, provided businessmen with the latest marketing data and information they needed to keep up with the dynamic local marketplace. Businessmen and representatives of commercial enterprises showed up in large numbers. The organisers insisted that the event was a big success.
According to Sarmad Ali of Jang Media Group, after Karachi, the Jang MediaWorks Expo did better than expected in Islamabad, too. “We targeted those businessmen who advertise their services and products either rarely or not at all. We organised this event to educate them about the extraordinary power of print and online advertising through the country’s most widely read and influential newspapers, including ‘Jang’, ‘The News’, ‘Awam’ and ‘Awaz.’
“The participants learned about the proven marketing strategies used by the country’s most successful advertisers to reach consumers they want and stay ahead of their competition. Our team of experts advised them on the right advertising package for the expansion of their businesses and showed them how for as little as Rs13,650 per week they can reach millions of new customers all day, every day 24/7.”
Sarmad Ali said the free exposition introduced participants to experienced marketing executives for a one-on-one consultation to discuss business and marketing goals and ways to achieve them through advertising.
“We did such an expo for a whole week in Karachi and got a response beyond expectations. Around 3,500 companies attended the event in Karachi and here, too, we’ve attracted around 2,500 businessmen and the representatives of different businesses with most of them willing to advertise with us. Among them are so many, who have either never been to any advertising expo or aren’t considered to be conventional or traditional advertisers, like training houses, patent registration companies, law firms and tax consultants. I must say those who thought advertising was expensive found it to be otherwise after spending time with us,” he said.
Sarmad Ali said the event would take place every year across the country to help small and medium enterprises grow and thus, strengthening national economy.
Ali Moeen Nawazish of Jang Media Group said at the event, his group helped business organisations and individuals develop advertising strategies through its influential daily publications and digital platforms and that, too, at much discounted rates in connection with the celebrations of daily Jang’s 70th foundation year.
He said the Jang Group had helped scores of businesses expand tremendously over the years and wanted more and more to follow suit to their benefit.
The participants appreciated the holding of the expo and said participation in it would help expand their businesses. Faiza Tasawar, senior manager (communications and marketing) at Roots Millennium Schools Pakistan, said he found the event to be very useful for the existing and upcoming businesses.
She said the best thing about the expo was that it offered very customised advertising packages helping business organisations spread their message to the target audience at different stations at the same time.
“This (expo) is a very good idea. I think it has been executed for the first time in Pakistan. I haven’t heard about it,” she said.
Faiza Tasawar also said the expo was equally useful for the women planning to do business as it offered some very competitive advertising packages for them.
Samra Azam, chief executive officer at the Vigo Business Consulting Private Limited, appreciated the holding of the event. She said she had signed a one year advertising contract with the Jang Media Group.
“Marketing is one of the biggest challenge I face as a woman entrepreneur and therefore, engaging the Jang Group for advertising and that too at discounted rates will help me reach the target audience in a big way,” she said.
