CIA arrests 5 accused involved in theft incidents

 ISLAMABAD – The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police have arrested five accused involved in theft incidents, informed a police spokesman on Friday.

According to him, a police team comprising Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ishaq, Haider Ali Shah and officials under the supervision of DSP CIA Rukhsar Mehdi has apprehended four members of a gang involved in stolen motorbikes and rickshaw from different areas of the city and recovered four stolen motorbikes, bike spare parts, two loader rickshaws and weapons used in crime.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. The nabbed accused have been identified as Kamran Khan (Gang leader), Abbseen Khan, Asad Khan and Sohaib Khan. The police team has also arrested an accused identified as Muhammad Asif involved in theft cases and recovered stolen cash worth Rs400,000 from his possession. 

DIG (Operations) has appreciated this performance of CIA police team and directed all police officials to ensure arrest of criminals at large and take effective policing measures in the city.
