Court hands over Ayaz Amir to police on one-day physical remand

The local court in Islamabad has granted one-day physical remand of journalist Ayaz Amir in connection with the murder of his daughter-in-law by his son Shahnawaz Amir.

The sessions court on Sunday granted one-day physical remand of Ayaz Amir, father of Shahnawaz Amir who had brutally murdered his wife Sara Inam with a dumbbell a few days ago. 

Earlier, journalist Ayaz Amir was produced by police before the court of a magistrate in F-8 Kutchery, Islamabad today. Investigative officer and concerned deputy superintendent officer were also present in the court.

Ayaz Amir had been detained by police for investigations into the murder of his daughter-in-law Sara by her husband Shahnawaz Amir.

Moreover, the father of Sara will also arrive in Pakistan tonight from Canada.
