Czech model sentenced to eight years in drug smuggling case
A Lahore court sentenced a Czech model to eight years in jail in a drug smuggling case on Wednesday.
The woman, who has been identified as Teresa Alexkova, was arrested at the Lahore airport on January 10, 2018 while trying to smuggle nine kilogrammes of heroin. She was travelling from Dubai to Ireland.
A Rs113,000 fine has also been imposed on her.
The hearing against her concluded after 14 months.
