DIG Peshawar Shahab Mazhar’s son killed in Karachi

KARACHI: The son of DIG Police Peshawar, Shahab Mazhar was killed in Karachi’s Defence area, police said late Friday.

Police said Umar Shahab was strangled to death by his own bodyguard.

According to SP Clifton Asad Ejaz, Umar Shahab was strangulated over monetary matter in Khayaban-e-Sahar.

The accused guard identified as Faqir Muhamamd has been arrested by police.

Another guard deployed at the residence of the deceased said, Faqir Muhammad was demanding Rs 200,000 and on refusal he killed Umar.
