Islamabad: Lack of knowledge about traffic plan among most of the motorists made them subjected to bitter road experience as these were seen continuously searching for the route to enter into Islamabad for last couple of days.
“Unfortunately, I had not read the traffic plan so when I reached Faizabad the traffic wardens asked me to go towards Rawal Dam Chowk,” said Zahid Khan. He said when he turned towards Islamabad Club the policemen asked him to go to Bari Imam using road passing through Quaid-i-Azam University. “That was not the end of my misery as the policemen at Bari Imam check post directed me to use Double Road to enter into the capital city,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the City Traffic Officer had appealed to the people to avoid visiting Islamabad on Tuesday and Wednesday except for emergency. Zahid said when he reached Double Road he came to know that there was a massive traffic jam due to heavy truck and trolleys at IJ Principal Road. He said: “I started my ‘journey at 2 p.m. and finally entered into Islamabad at 5:30 p.m. The vehicular traffic was dead slow everywhere due to which it took him long hours to travel through all these roads.”
