A record opening stand by Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq helped Pakistan score 399/1 in the fourth ODI against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on Friday.
They put up a partnership of 304 runs on the first wicket. The previous record of 286 runs was held by Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga.
Fakhar Zaman became the first Pakistani to score a double century in a one-day internationals. He made 210 runs from 156 balls with the help 24 boundaries and five sixes.
Zaman’s opening partner Imam-ul-Haq contributed 113 runs with the bat as he scored eight boundaries.
Wellington Masakadza was the only wicket taker for the hosts.
Pakistan have already clinched the five match series 3-0.
The visitors won the first game of the ODI series by 201 runs. They wrapped up a comprehensive nine-wicket win in the second match.
The green shirts wrapped up the series as they won the third game by nine wickets.
