FIA serves notice to publisher notwithstanding IHC orders opposite purported harassment

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency’s counter-terrorism wing on Thursday served a notice to publisher Taha Siddiqui melancholy him with authorised proceedings.
The notice comes two days after a Islamabad High Court (IHC) stopped a FIA from badgering the journalist over his posts on amicable media.
The notice, served to Taha Siddiqui late Thursday, demanded him to seem before Inspector Shahid Majeed during FIA counter-terrorism wing’s bureau in Islamabad on May 26 [today] “to answer such questions as put onward to you”.

“Non-compliance to this sequence is punishable underneath law. Therefore, your bullheaded non-obedience of a sequence will describe we probable for rapist record underneath Section 174 of a Pakistan Penal Code,” it read.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, Siddiqui said, “As a journalist, visiting my chateau post work hours while we am not there and insisting on delivering this to me but explaining since they wish me to come to a counter-terrorism investigation, a FIA, method of interior and sovereign supervision is stability to harass, dominate and overpower giveaway debate and eccentric journalism.”
Journalist files petition in IHC after ‘threatening phone call from FIA’
On Tuesday, Justice Aamer Farooq of IHC released notices to a group for May 29 with directions to “act particularly in suitability with law and a postulant shall not be harassed”. Siddiqui had filed a defence in a high justice by his warn Asma Jahangir, requesting a justice to approach a FIA to terminate ‘from badgering adults simply since they have voiced a perspective or are carrying out their veteran duties’.
Siddiqui, who is dependent with World is One News, says he perceived a call from a state group seeking him to seem in chairman during their bureau for an interrogation. “The tourist who introduced himself as Noman Bodla from a Counter Terrorism Department of a FIA demanded that a postulant might seem before him during a FIA Headquarters for an interrogation,” Taha wrote in his petition. On doubt since a publisher had to seem before a agency, a tourist hinted that a “interrogation endangered issues and opinions Taha had created involving his veteran work”.
