Four new shelter homes for women, kids in ICT soon

Islamabad: Ministry of Human Rights (MOHR) has announced to establish four new shelter homes for women and children in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) soon, to ensure conducive environment for persons of less resources.

The ministry has also chalked out a country wide project of establishing Human Rights committees in every district with the involvement of local administration politicians security agencies and other concerned departments.

The committees office would be set up in the office of district administration, while the political representatives have also offered their places for this purpose official, sources told APP.

They said people would be apprised with the functions and services of such committee through banners pamphlets and other public campaigns so that maximum people can approach for redressal of their grievances.

Prime objective of the ministry is to check human rights violations in the country and proper implementation of the existing laws for benefit of the people at grassroots level.
