Speaking about a routine he went by to emanate a documentary, Acharya said, “I got in hold with Rafi sahab’s son, Shahid, first, and eventually spoke to all 7 of his children who straightforwardly came on board. We began filming in Karachi and Lahore, and also shot in Kotla Sultan Singh, Rafi’s hearth in Punjab. we finished adult with 200-hours of footage, though something was still missing.”
Subsequently he roped in a Pakistani ghazal thespian Ghulam Ali, who belongs to a same Patiala gharana, as a narrator. The filmmaker suggested Ali concluded to a purpose after an eight-month struggle.
“There were issues, generally after his tours in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi were cancelled. Ghulam Ali saab was ostensible to perform in Gujarat final Wednesday though he was not authorised there either. we knew he was in India though usually 10-15 people knew his locale and he did not wish to promulgate with me,” he said.
