Goat sacrifice
SIALKOT: This is with reference to your editorial entitled, “Planes, goats, and pains”. Sacrificing a goat is supposedly more powerful than having a well-trained PIA community. At this crucial time when the wavering image of the national airline is at stake, the staff chose to perform a ritual to satisfy the passengers, after the December 7 incident, by sacrificing a goat instead of keeping technical checks.
PIA is hiding its incompetency. Our nation tends to seek for things and make prayers but are unwilling to make things happen themselves. The need of hour is to take safety precautions, keep check on technical issues and to not overlook the negligence of the authorities concerned.
