Going digital: Passports to be renewed online

ISLAMABAD: Applications to replenish Pakistani passports abroad will now take a small over 16 mins instead of an whole day with a renewed request delivered during your doorstep. Phase-one of a complement launched by a Ministry of Interior for Overseas Pakistanis went live final week. Officials pronounced that introduction of a complement would also revoke injustice of a pass and coercion by feign ‘agents’. “UAE-based Pakistanis can relief this 24-hour use as of now,” Acting Consul General of Pakistan Rana Samar Javed told Khaleej Times. Those with a pass effect of 7 months can also request for online renewal. Once applied, a papers will be processed in Islamabad and delivered during a plcae listed by a user within 10 days for a normal renovation and 4 days for obligatory applications.
