Google’s G Suite account is the latest victim of an ongoing bitcoin scam that has been plaguing the social media platform for the last few weeks.
G Suite might be the highest-profile target of the scam as yet. Fake and promoted tweets appeared on the G Suite account, reported The Verge.

The scam that started with accounts of Elon Musk and Target’s being hacked and posting fake tweets of giving away 10,000 Bitcoins (over $60m) to participants who first send 0.1 and 0.2 Bitcoins ($600 to $1200) to ‘the company’. The participants were promised to receive anywhere from 1 to 20 Bitcoins ($6000 – $120,000) in return.
Twitter released a statement in which it said that it has improved the way it handles cryptocurrency scams. However, the hacking of G Suite account suggests that the situation may get worse.
