Islamabad: The residents of the twin cities are really enjoying hiking on trails, developed by Capital Development Authority (CDA) in the heart of the green city, amid pleasant weather conditions due to fast nearing spring season.
“The number of hikers on the trails especially Trail III and V have considerably increased in last couple of weeks. The arrival of the spring season will encourage more hikers to come and enjoy some great moments in the green environment,” said Zahid Khawaja, a visitor at Trail III.
Some new spots have been developed in Trail V in the recent months and it is hoped that these would attract a lot more hikers in the spring season. All this development work has been carried out without damaging the natural character of the green area.
The residents of the twin cities are lucky to be located very close to beautiful Margalla Hills. These hills not only are a source of pleasant weather of the capital city but are also famous for the trails used by hiking lovers.
Hamid Rana, another visitor, said all of these trails offer unique hiking opportunities and can be easily managed as half-day weekend hikes, adding “All the hikers should keep it in mind that they have the responsibility to maintain cleanliness and avoid throwing litter on trails.”
