IG directs officers to hear public complaints against police on daily basis

ISLAMABAD – The Inspector General Police Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Thursday directed the zonal officers to be present in the office and listen to the complainants from 3-5pm daily.

According to the officials, all the zonal SPs, SDPOs and the SHOs would adopt open-door policy and ensure their presence in their offices daily at the mentioned time. “They would be striving hard to resolve the problems being faced by the residents,” the officials said. 

They said that it would be ensured that there is no meeting or other engagement by the officers at the said time. The IG also directed the officers to give respect to the complainants and provide maximum relief to them. 

The IG and DIG (Operations) would also pay visit to ensure availability of the officers at the said time and place so that they could provide maximum relief to the citizens.
