IIU cultural exhibition opens

Islamabad: The 27th international cultural exhibition was inaugurated by Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Ahmad Al-Malki at the International Islamic University here on Tuesday.

Chinese envoy Yao Jing was the guest of honour on the occasion, where ambassadors of Kenya, Thailand, Turkey, Afghanistan, Mauritius, Oman, Yamen, Egypt and Somalia, academicians and administration heads of the university, faculty members and students were in attendance.

The Saudi ambassador said educational institutions were the best platforms for building strong brotherly relations among nations. He said students from more than 50 nations are availing themselves of the facility of knowledge at the university, which had become a platform for international students.

Al-Malki congratulated the IIU administration for holding the mega event every year. The Chinese envoy motivated Chinese students during his speech and said that friendship is foundation for making relationships with global community.
